During this evening, students of the Jewelry Design Department at Shenkar College will display their Jewelry creations inspired by the Pure Gold Museum at the Bible Lands Museum. This will be followed by a session of short lectures by curators and experts.
18:00 – Tour of the PURE GOLD exhibition and a survey of the students' replicas
19:00 - Dr. Filip and Vukosavovic, Curator, Bible Lands Museum Jerusalem, will speak about the sources of gold and the exhibition PURE GOLD
Dr. Tziona Grossmark, Tel – Hai Academic College, will lecture on jewelry in Talmudic literature and Dr. Iris Fishof, Shenkar College of Engineering and Design, will talk about ancient and contemporary jewelry.
20:00 - A panel discussion with Sharon Keren, head of the Jewelry Design Department at Shenkar College, Micha Yechieli, course instructor, along with audience participation.
The students' creations will be displayed at the Museum 03.01.2013 – 31.03.2013.
Due to popular demand, the exhibition "PURE GOLD" will be extended through 31.3.2013.
