Permanent Exhibition

The Museum displays thousands of artifacts representing the broad range of cultures of the Ancient Near East.  A tour through the Museum is a walk through time as the thousands of treasures on display reveal the magnificent cultures of ancient Egypt, Sumer, Assyria and Babylon. The world of the Hittites, the Phoenicians, the civilizations of Greece and Rome and the importance of Canaan, Judea and Israel at the cross-roads of the ancient world come to life before you.

  The BLMJ's core exhibition invites you to explore the peoples, cultures and civilizations of the region of the bible lands. As you walk through the galleries you’ll travel thousands of years back in time, to the days when our nomadic forefathers first put down roots in settled communities. You’ll witness the drama of civilization on the rise – from the beginning of writing, to the establishment of religions, to the birth of technologies for art, agriculture and war.
